Synopsis:

Explanation of the laser radiation interaction with the tissue. Implementation of the lasers into the treatment in ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery, cardiology and angioplasty, dentistry, urology, ORL, orthopedics, and photodynamic therapy.

Requirements:

Prepare explanation of chosen theme - application of laser radiation in particular medicine practice.

Writen work - 3-5 pages

Syllabus of lectures:

Laser medicine origin, interaction of radiation with tissue, overview and characteristics of lasers, the radiation delivery into the interaction space, primary and secondary factors involved in the interaction of radiation with tissue. Lasers in various medical disciplines - application of laser radiation in ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, urology, cardiology, angioplasty, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, otorhinolaryngology, and photodynamic therapy.
